Subject Manuscript of unknown Dickens novel

Date Tue Jul 2 2002 15:18
Author Robert P. Davis (Robert_Paul_Davis@brown .edu)

Likely it would be worth several hundred thousand to several million dollars (extrapolated roughly from the July 15 19999 Sotheby's auction of the Dickens Archive). Of course, Dickens was known never to have had a manuscript fair-copied or written by someone else, except the manuscript of Child's History of England, which he had dictated to his sister-in-law, Georgina Hogarth.
